March 11, 2023, a busy day of great music!
March 11th Club Jam was great and included a Youth Jam, a visiting Luthier, and a raffle for Festival Passes. 79 in attendance with 6 jam rooms going, lots of club shirts, caps, picks, stickers purchased, 8 pizzas, salad, desserts, and 50 cups of coffee. We welcomed over a dozen brand new members and were thrilled to see old friends show up to pick and visit.
February 11, 2023 was a great Jam Day in Grapevine, TX!!!
We had 77 people of all ages attending, including first-time visitors, folks renewing their memberships, and a number of brand new members signing up, which puts us at about 95 members in our club now. There were 6 jam circles, starting from the Slow Jam up to Smokin' Hot!. 7 pizzas and a table of sweets were available. 30 cups of coffee were served along with sodas, tea, and water. And we held a club election too, electing Kirk Green as the new club President, re-electing Bob Hatfield as 2nd Vice President, Liz Patton as club Secretary, and two additional Directors, Charlie Campbell and Paul Smith. Thanks to everyone for coming out and having fun with your Bluegrass Friends!
January 2023 Club Meeting & Jam was Outstanding!!!
Wow, what a great day of bluegrass and friends! We had 85 in attendance. Bob & Kelli Phillips of Texas Country Reporter were here to shoot a segment about our club, which may air around October on RFD-TV. We had some old friends show up including past Club President Paul Stimson and super picker Brad Davis. We had visitors from the Bay Area Bluegrass Association. We had pickers in SIX Jam rooms. We had delicious sandwiches, pizza, desserts, and drinks. Thank you to all who volunteered to welcome, arrange and reset rooms, sell merchandise, prepare food, clean, shoot photos, and make beautiful music.
